Easter Rest

Have a Blessed Easter!

I hope all of you will enjoy a break from your writing over this holiday weekend (even if only a short respite!) so that you can spend extra time with loved ones and with our Risen Savior. That's what I'll be doing!

I'll be traveling from Michigan to West Virginia to visit with my mom. It's a nine hour van ride to get there, so hopefully I'll make some good progress on my WIP without the internet to distract me!

What are your holiday plans?

P.S. Eileen did you meet your writing goals for the week (even with sick children)? How about you Jill & Cindy? Just checking in with you to see how you all did!

See you Tuesday, April 14!

  1. Hi, Jody, may you have a blessed Easter with family!

I came in just over 3000 words, not my 5000 goal, but I do hope to steal a few moments this weekend while the girls ride to play catchup, if it works out. My main goal this weekend, though, is to bathe in the Truth, come a little closer to understanding what all our Savior sacrificed for us. And why.

  2. Hi Eileen,
Sometimes we have those weeks where we can't meet our goals. I doubt I'll meet mine for the weekend! But we need to have some grace for those times when life intervenes!

Hope you have a blessed Easter too!

  3. I wondered if you would give us a challenge for the weekend! ;) I do hope to write 2000 words since I have an extra day at home and though my ride to my parents is only an hour away, I hope to take my pen and paper and write longhand. (gasp, I know!)

Happy Easter and a blessed worship gathering Sunday!

  4. I didn't come close to meeting my writing goals this week! I did get 20 pages written, though. Is it bad that I don't even feel guilty?

Maybe it's because I had a rough couple of weeks and I'm just starting to feel myself again. Or maybe all of the Cadbury mini-eggs lulled me into an alternate state of mind?

On another note: my hero is SO delusional; I'm having waaayyy too much fun writing his story. Seriously! I snicker to myself as I think of how he's going to react to the massive life changes in store. Ha!

Have a wonderful Easter and enjoy your family!

  5. My family is close by, so I won't be traveling. We do the usual: Church, eggs, chocolate, baskets, ham.

But what I really love is saying "He is risen!" and "Indeed he has!" on impulse in Russian all day. Cool, huh?

    Godspeed on your journey.

  6. Hi Sherrinda,
Glad you will get some extra writing time in! Since I was going on holiday, I figured everyone else in the world would be doing the same!! Actually, I'm trying to take advantage of the ride time to get a little work done. But I don't understand why long rides make a person so sleepy! Sure is more easy to nap than to write!

Have a wonderful time with your family and a blessed Easter!

  7. Hi Jill,
I guess you'll need to either eat the rest of the Cadburry eggs over the weekend or hide them all next week. I vote for finishing them off! Then you'll be able to finally focus again next week when you start back up!

I just love it when we can have fun with our characters! So, what are you doing to the poor guy?! Sounds like it will be a fun story to read!

Hope you have a wonderful weekend too!

  8. Hi Rebecca,
That does sound really cool? Does this mean you know how to speak Russian? And if so, you'll have to tell me the story behind it!

    Have a wonderful weekend!

  9. Yay, I did make my goal and it feels good. I am looking forward to this weekend, spending time with family and friends. I also get the opportunity to sing a bit with the worship team at church and play my violin for everyone on Sunday (Amazing Grace). I LOVE to worship the Lord with music. Have a wonderful and very blessed weekend!
