In fact, they only really knew they loved each other roughly seven months after they had gotten stuck together on a quest and a month before he proposes. They loath each other to begin with, especially with the girl. I'm having a BIG problem making him have good qualities.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08179505062235922649noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8539581256374625880.post-66865911078835596422016-02-09T00:44:06.839-05:002016-02-09T00:44:06.839-05:00A writing is somehow effective if readers are affe...A writing is somehow effective if readers are affected with some scenes or like hating a character. It's a struggle to portray him as jerkish, yet nice deep down, and I fear that my readers will not believe in the change when it does happen.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8539581256374625880.post-37754061289014181722015-06-20T23:09:10.672-04:002015-06-20T23:09:10.672-04:00Thanks for the tips. Thanks for the tips.Ruthie Madisonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10967444799855146815noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8539581256374625880.post-14088574871892095752015-06-17T18:04:51.066-04:002015-06-17T18:04:51.066-04:00I'm working with a pair of twins as protagonis...I'm working with a pair of twins as protagonists that are known for playing pranks. I'm trying to soften their characters by giving them more positive attributes. The pranks teach them a lesson so they need to be there. And they make beautiful redemption stories. I've already pinned this to my Writing and Promotion Tips board for future reference.

I have written unlikable characters--totally by accident--back when I was a newbie writer. One of my heroines was so unlikable that contest judges said some pretty harsh things about her, which were true. I felt for the poor gal. It wasn't her fault that I hadn't shown her good traits well. It was entirely mine.Keli Gwynhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13236868298400593688noreply@blogger.com
