My readers blow me away. Often. Whether through emails, facebook messages, twitter, or elsewhere, I've been extremely blessed with supportive readers.
I, for one, don't take for granted the lovely outpouring of support my readers offer. They're busy people with lots of favorite authors and plenty of books to choose to read these days. So when a reader takes the time to connect with me, I do my best to connect back.
I did a recent post sharing some of the creative ways that readers helped support my recent release, A Noble Groom: 7 Ideas for Crafting Creative Book Reviews.
Just last week, another reader, Monica Bruenjes drew an illustration of the characters in A Noble Groom. Here it is:

Didn't she do a fantastic job?! I was SUPER delighted when she alerted me to her post with the picture she'd drawn with such a wonderful representation of the main characters, especially the little daughter Gretchen getting a pony-ride from the hero and falling asleep on his back. She looks so realistic and adorable.
Even more than the awesome picture, I'm grateful for Monica's support, her initiative to do something like this with my novel, and her willingness to share it.
While all my readers may not be drawing illustrations or doing video reviews, they are still awesome!
So I wanted to send out a short but sweet thank you to all my readers everywhere. Thank you for reading my books, for promoting them, and for encouraging me.
Yes, I love writing and I'd likely do it even if I was the only reader of my books. But . . . my experience as an author is all that much richer because of YOU and your excitement and enthusiasm over my books!
To show my appreciation to all my wonderful readers, I'm giving away a packet of five books to one lucky winner. Four are recent Bethany House releases from author friends: Tracie Peterson, Carol Cox, Siri Mitchell, and Becky Wade.

ReplyDeleteMy reading list for this summer consists of the 24 books left on my TBR list! My goal every year is to finish reading all of the books I own (I haven't met it yet) with a sub goal of finishing all of the books I read prior to that year. I'm currently down to 24 unread books which include some of these authors: Melody Carlson, Sarah Sundin, Margaret Brownley, Amanda Cabot, Laurie Kingery, Vicki Hinze, Julie Lessman, Laurie Alice Eakes, and others! I also should get some other books for review!

Speaking for myself,as an avid Reader,it is very easy for me to promote your books,as you have an incredible gift for luring Readers to your novels and immediately captivate my interest.
Since discovering your books just recently and enjoying them immensely,I certainly have no hesitation in promoting them as a... "Must Read"!
My TBR pile is growing larger by the minute, but a cosy fire and snuggling down on a comfy lounge..AH! What better way to enjoy my "Winter" reading.LOL

Well, I just finished NOBLE GROOM last week and loved it! I am currently reading Janice Cantore's AVENGED, the third in a series; very good book for lovers of suspense. I have Randy Singer's new book, Rachel Hauck's new book, and Connie Mann's new book at the top of my reading stack. And all four giveaways are on my "want to read" list on Goodreads. And I need another copy of "The Doctor's Lady". The one I purchased had a section of the story missing . . . the wedding, no less. Even with missing pages, it was a spectacular story.

This summer I started reading Once Upon a Prince by Rachel Hauck--I'm halfway through and really enjoying it. I'd also like to read some books on the Elizabeth I time period as I loved reading Sandra Byrd's series over the last few months. I enjoy Mindy Starns Clark and would like to read some of her mysteries that I haven't read yet. Also, I've heard great things about Robert Whitlow's, The Choice and hope to read that as well. ReplyDeleteI have so many books on my reading list that it’s hard to name just a few. I am an avid reader and have challenged myself to read and review 100 books this year on Goodreads. So far, I’m on target with it. Occasionally, an author will specifically ask me to read and review their novel and I am always totally thrilled and honored to do so.

ReplyDeleteA couple of days ago, I finished reading A Noble Groom. What a fantastic book! I know a book is well written when I fall a bit in love with the hero! I'm currently reading Cynthia Ruchti's new book, When The Morning Glory Blooms. It is a powerful book that often moves me to tears. Next up is Stealing the Preacher by Karen Witemeyer. I never lack for something to read. I think the term "chain reader" would apply to me.

A few books that I already have on my TBR shelf include, A Wedding For Julia (Chapman), Not This Time (Hinze), Sweet Mercy (Tatlock) The Fairest Beauty (Dickerson), Unending Devotion (Hedlund), Don't Take Any Wooden Nickles (Starns Clark), Veil Of Pearls (Tyndall), The Reliance (Tyndall), The Restitution (Tyndall), Love Finds You In Glacier Bay Alaska (Goyer/Fleiss)), A Most Peculiar Circumstance (Turano)..... I have so many more but I can't remember titles right now. Don't know if I will get them all read but I am sure going to try!

So excited that A Noble Groom is first on my summer reads list. Just received it recently and because I was already buried in my reading list I loaned it to two friends. They have raved about it and now I've moved it up to next on my list! Thank you for the wonderful novels that combine a great story with beautiful Christian principles.
